EchoPoint Systems (Pty) Ltd ("EchoPoint", "we", "us") is a South African company registered in Pretoria. We are the responsible party for the personal information we collect through this website and through our products.

2. What information we collect

Information you give us

• Contact form submissions: your name, email, company name, the product you're interested in, and your message.
• Account information when you sign up for an EchoPoint product (handled by the product's own privacy notice).

Information we collect automatically

• Server logs: IP address, browser user-agent, referrer, timestamp.
• Cookies: we use only essential session cookies for the contact form's CSRF protection. No tracking, no analytics, no advertising.

3. What we use it for

• To respond to your enquiry when you submit the contact form.
• To operate, secure and improve this website.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Ever.

4. Lawful basis (POPIA)

We process your personal information on the basis of:

• Consent — when you submit the contact form.
• Legitimate interest — to secure and operate our website.
• Legal obligation — when required by South African law.

5. Where your data lives

This website and all EchoPoint products are hosted on South African infrastructure. Your personal information does not leave the Republic.

6. How long we keep it

• Contact form enquiries: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Server logs: up to 90 days, then aggregated or deleted.
• Session cookies: expire when you close your browser.

7. Security

We protect your information with TLS 1.3 in transit, AES-256 at rest, hardware MFA on admin accounts, and tamper-evident logging. See our security & compliance page for the full posture.

8. Your rights

Under POPIA you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion.
• Object to processing.
• Lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@echopoint.co.za. We respond within 30 days.

10. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice from time to time. The latest version is always at this URL. Material changes will be announced on the homepage for at least 30 days.
